Let this Baxter native handle your laundry for you!
Wash, fold, pickup and delivery for Baxter Village. Bag on your porch Sunday evening. Back by Wednesday evening, folded, often sooner.
Hi, I’m Lorin
I’ve been part of Baxter Village since 2001, long enough to remember when the Fourth of July parade was small and there was only one pool. These days I run an accounting firm from home, which means I'm here, I'm organized to a fault, and I have strong opinions about folding towels.
I am one of those rare people who actually likes doing laundry. I hear from neighbors all the time how much they dread it, so an idea formed; what if I just took it off their plate? I only take a small number of households at a time and I stick to Baxter.
So if you ready to hand off the laundry dread, here's the deal. You put a bag on your porch Sunday evening. I wash it, dry it, fold it, and it's back on your doorstep by Wednesday evening, often sooner. No apps. No strangers driving in from Charlotte. Just a neighbor who treats your laundry like it belongs to someone she'll run into at the pool, because it does.
If you're particular about detergent or delicates, tell me and I'll do it your way. If you couldn't care less as long as it comes back clean, even better.
How it works
Step 1: Schedule your pickup
Fill out the laundry order form with all your personal preferences. After submitting your order, you'll receive an email confirmation, and then, I'll reach out by text to chat through any other details before pickup.
Step 3: Washed, dried, folded
I sort every load by hand, separating colors from whites, and treating stains. All items are cleaned, dried, and folded according to your preferences. Your order always stays separate from other households and I sanitize the washer after each load.
Step 2: Sunday, 5pm pickup
I'll come pickup your items directly from your porch. I will always text to confirm I have everything with a picture. I also send a Venmo request for the order.
Step 4: Delivered by Wednesday evening
Your laundry is back on your porch Wednesday by 5pm, folded and ready for drawers. . You’ll get a text when I’m on the way.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
For one-time orders, a standard 13-gallon kitchen bag, filled but closeable. For weeklies, I give you a big reusable bag that holds about two loads. If it zips, it ships. Er, washes.
-
Venmo (@baxterlaundrylady). You'll get a request when I pick up, and payment is due before delivery. No cash on the porch, no awkwardness.
-
Yep. Weeklies can skip anytime, just text me by Saturday. You won't be charged for skipped weeks. There's a one-month minimum to start, mostly so we both know it's a good fit.
-
Tide Original, unless you tell me otherwise. Scent-free, sensitive skin, a specific brand, air-dry that one sweater, whatever your laundry needs, just note it in the order form and I'll match it.
-
Never. Your order is washed completely on its own, and I sanitize the machine before your load goes in. Your household's laundry only ever touches your household's laundry. It's slower my way. It's also the only way I'd want mine done.
-
Join the waitlist through the same form. Once Sundays fill, I'm opening a second route (Wednesday pickup, back Friday by 5pm), and the waitlist gets first pick, in order.
-
Everyday machine-washables are perfect: clothes, towels, sheets, kids' everything. Please skip dry-clean-only pieces, leather, and anything the tag says to hand-wash. Got a maybe? Text me a photo of the tag and I'll tell you.
I also don’t accept bulky items like comforters or pillows. If it doesn’t fit in your washing machine, it won’t fit in mine.
-
Then it's two bags, at the additional-bag rate. I'll text you before anything changes on your total. No surprise charges, ever.
-
Your folded laundry comes back in sturdy sealed bags, double-bagged if the sky looks dramatic. And since every Baxter porch is covered, it stays dry until you grab it. You'll get a text the moment it lands.
-
I treat your laundry like my own, and if something goes wrong on my watch, I'll make it right.

A few Sundays a year I'm out of town, and there's no route that week. I post it well ahead of time, weeklies simply aren't billed for it, and we pick right back up the next Sunday.
